We have challenged the future to grow at least a dozen different types of jackfruits at the farm. Gum-less, seedless, gluey, crisp, red, yellow, yes there's a whole lot of hope that the farm will bear jack fruits in diversity, going forward. And every season, a newer type is beginning to yield, just like the all-season jackfruit that has begun bearing fruits continuously for a few months.
In one corner of our second farm, a young plant has now hung a cluster, that looks like ready to drop bombs from the sky. We know not the taste yet. Strangely, the fruiting season has shifted forward by a few weeks this year and the wait has been long.
But going by the oft-heard wisdom, fruits of patience must turn out to be sweet. So, maybe a few more weeks, before the treatment.
