The bitter lime (probably Makrut lime) plant is in its 3rd-year infancy. Its excitement in life is such that it profusely fruited this year and its maiden crop is too heavy for its baby feet.
The bitter inheritance of this lime is also that the citrus plants do not have deep taproots and the fibrous spread of roots is only in the top 24 inches.
Now, isn't the plot of the story crystal clear! It rained big, winds howled, the head was heavy, feet remained wobbly and roots were not deep. By the standards of nature, that's a right combination of wrong factors to ensure a bitter fall from the upright floral grace!!
The rescue attempt is on.
