Spice route - MANGO PICKLING AT THE FARM
Venue: Padma Farms, Date: Saturday, 7 May 2022, Time: 7 AM to 10 AM
Guest chefs: Dr. Pratibha Garla and Dr. Madhuri Kulkarni
The idea is very simple.
You pluck the mangoes from the trees, chop them well, spice them up with organic ingredients, stuff in some bird music and morning dew, and pickle them all in a jar. In the end, take home some organic mango pickles that you made on the farm floor.
The leading guest chefs are Dr. Pratibha Garla and Dr. Madhuri Kulkarni. Pratibha is a practicing dental surgeon and Madhuri taught medical sciences till recently at JSS. They will help us choose the mangoes, add the right ingredients and pickle them in a bottle.
A fee of Rs 450 per person applies, which includes breakfast at the farm and half a kilo of self-made organic mango pickles. Please bring a chopping board, knife, and an empty bottle for the takeaway.
