NOMADS

The human mind is restless. There is an intrinsic urge and power to run away from home and yet return. This is part of the evolutionary biology, psychology, and civilization of this species we belong to.

Right from Neolithic times, nomads have structured and restructured human societies. They had their golden time at the fall of the Roman Empire, through Arabs, Mongols, and Mughals, contrasting with and counterbalancing the empires of human cities.

Anthony Sattin writes history but questions our minds. Between the lines, the reader identifies himself with one of the greatest human characters - nomadism.
